US President-elect Donald Trump says Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum has agreed to stop migration through Mexico into the United States. Posting on Truth Social, Trump said that in their phone conversation the two leaders also agreed to close the border between the US and Mexico.
Mexican President Sheinbaum said her country is already dealing with migrant caravans and that Mexico’s position is not to close borders but to build bridges between governments and people.
