Syrian rebels released people from Saydnaya prison near Damascus. Thousands of prisoners spilled out of Assad’s detention system after his fall on Sunday, December 8. Families went through Saydnaya’s complex in hope of finding missing loved ones. But by Monday afternoon there was no sign of more prisoners, after a rescue team searched for hidden underground cells.
