In Türkiye, Lebanon, and Jordan, thousands of displaced Syrians are being filmed crossing the border to return home after years of forced exile caused by the Assad regime.
“Although we had a daily capacity to accommodate 3,000 crossings, we have increased it to between 15,000 and 20,000,” Türkiye’s Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya told reporters on Tuesday.
During the Syrian civil war, around 4 million Syrians sought refuge in Türkiye, making it the largest Syrian refugee population in the world.
