French interior minister, Bruno Retailleau says he is going to "pull out all the stops” as a major rescue operation is takes place after Cyclone Chido hit the island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean.
Police and gendarmerie officers have been deployed by President Macron to the French owned territory, with more expected to be heading out. Supplies are also being rushed in on military aircraft and ships.
The cyclone was the strongest storm in more than 90 years to hit the islands and is thought to have killed thousands.
