The United States has pledged $200 million in humanitarian aid to support the millions affected by the war in Sudan. The conflict, which began last April between the army and the RSF paramilitary, has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and displaced 11 million people, making it the world’s largest humanitarian crisis. Tom Perriello, US special envoy for Sudan, spoke to France 24 about the massive scale of the challenge of delivering humanitarian aid and what progress has been made so far.
