Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized to Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev for what Moscow has described as a "tragic incident" involving the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed in Kazakhstan on Christmas Day. Several airlines suspended flights to Russia since the crash.
