Investigators from the US are joining their South Korean counterparts, as a probe begins into the plane crash which killed 179 people at Muan International Airport.
South Korea’s transport ministry has said the pilot reported his aircraft had suffered a bird strike as he called a mayday before the tragedy.
Questions are also growing about the concrete barrier into which the airliner crashed before bursting into flames.
