Donald Trump has been sworn in as the 47th president of the United States.
Trump and his vice president, JD Vance, took the oath of office in front of their families, guests and former US presidents in the Capitol Rotunda.
President Trump then made his inaugural address in which he hit out at Biden-era policies, discussed the loss of homes in the LA fires and said "the golden age of America begins right now".
Reflecting on the attempt on his life, he said over the past eight years he’s been "tested more than any president".
And that his life was saved "for a reason" – to "make America great again" – his slogan for two campaign cycles.
