“Columbia, you will see, we will resist until victory!”
Pro-Palestine students at Columbia University walk out of their classrooms on the first day of the semester, demanding divestment from companies profiting from Israel’s war on Gaza and an end to its ties with Tel Aviv.
“Repression won’t stop our fight for divestment. We promise there will be no new semesters without Gaza! Ceasefire is only the beginning,” the Columbia University Apartheid Divest group said online, highlighting that 22 disciplinary hearings – against students who participated in last year’s Gaza Solidarity Encampment – have recently taken place.
