Axel Rudakubana has been removed from his sentencing hearing after claiming he felt ill.
He told his lawyer he had chest pains, was too ill to continue and would like to see a paramedic.
The sentencing is continuing, and it is unclear whether Rudakubana will return.
Rudakubana, 18, from Lancashire, has pleaded guilty to murdering three young girls in a knife attack in Southport in July, and the attempted murders of 10 others.
