Israel’s military has withdrawn from a key area in the Gaza Strip. The Netzarim Corridor is a six-kilometer militarized zone that was created by Israel in the early days of the war, cutting the territory in two. Palestinians are now moving between Gaza’s north and south. Tens of thousands fled to southern Gaza as Israel’s war against Hamas intensified in the north. The withdrawal is part of the ceasefire deal with Hamas, which carried out the October 7 terror attacks.
