Voters in Kosovo are going to the polls for parliamentary elections seen as a test for the ruling social democrats.
Tensions with neighboring Serbia are a key issue and the ballot will shape their future ties. Incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti – a leftist and Albanian nationalist – has been accused of destabilizing relations by discriminating against Serbians in Kosovo. The nation broke away from Serbia in 2008 following the war – but Serbia does not recognize its independence.
