Artists censored under Assad regime begin to return home

For decades, the Assad regime controlled Syria’s art industry, using it to suppress dissent. Artists were forced to remain silent about the regime’s crimes or be forced into exile. But the fall of Bashar al Assad in December has allowed many actors and writers to return home. TRT World’s Nizar Sadawi reports.
