A decisive week for Ukraine as Kyiv hopes to secure continued support from the United States and NATO, as it tries to fight off Russia’s full-scale invasion. On Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet US Vice President JD Vance at the Munich Security Conference. Today US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth will attend NATO meetings in Brussels. US President Donald Trump has already promised to end the war in Ukraine – and questioned his country’s European security commitments – which is clearly worrying allies.
