The White House has released footage of deportees boarding a plane, describing it as “ASMR: Illegal Alien Deportation Flight.”
Filmed by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency in Seattle, the video shows unauthorised migrants restrained with multiple handcuffs on both their wrists and ankles.
In recent weeks, migrants deported from the United States have repeatedly reported experiencing brutal and dehumanizing treatment throughout the fear-filled process.
From India to Brazil to Haiti, some described being treated “worse than dogs” and bearing marks from the restraints used on them.
The Trump administration states it arrested more than 8,200 people between January 22 and January 31.
If this rate continues, the White House is on track to arrest nearly 25,000 people in Trump’s first 30 days— a figure not seen in over a decade.
On average, ICE says it aims for 1,200 to 1,400 arrests per day.
