Sir Keir Starmer has announced defence spending will increase to 2.5% of GDP by 2027 which is faster than the government had planned.
Sky News Beth Rigby asks why – after previously refusing to set out a timeline to increase defence spending to 2.5% the prime minister has now made that decision.
"Is the simple reality that the Trump White House has bounced you into this decision?" she asks.
The PM replies: "This is a significant moment and that is why we have got to rise to this generational challenge.".
