As Europe looks to boost its military presence amid growing fears that the US can no longer be relied upon to ensure security on the continent, the French army is also seeking ways to boost its manpower. The army wishes to increase its ranks from around 200,000 soldiers in 2024 to 275,000 in 2030, sparking a recruitment drive across the country.
