Armed militants highjack passenger train – How are Pakistan’s security forces reacting? | DW News

Armed militants in Pakistan have hijacked a passenger train in the south-western province of Balochistan — and taken hundreds of people hostage.

The train was travelling from Quetta to the northern city of Peshawar, when it came under fire. The separatist Baloch Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for the attack. It is threatening to kill hostages, if Pakistani security forces try to intervene.
