Khalil arrested for opposing the US “foreign policy”

Columbia University graduate Mahmoud Khalil was detained by ICE and Department of Homeland Security officers not for breaking US law, but for opposing US “foreign policy” interests, said White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt during a briefing on March 11.

She continued, noting that the DHS has already given Columbia the names of other pro-Palestine student and affiliate advocates they hope to detain, citing that the university has been refusing to comply with their requests.
