LA pro-Palestine protests disrupt Gal Gadot Walk of Fame ceremony

Dozens of LA-based pro-Palestine protestors organised to disrupt Gal Gadot’s Walk of Fame Ceremony on March 18.

Gadot, who served in the Israeli army before beginning a career in acting, is the first Israeli actress to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

She was honored right as Israel unilaterally ended the Israel-Hamas ceasefire in Gaza by launching a barrage of airstrikes early Tuesday morning, killing over 400 Palestinians.

The attack resulted in one of the largest single-day death tolls of Palestinian children since the start of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza.

Hollywood residents at the protest attended to demonstrate their opposition to Gadot receiving such a recognition, given her continuing support of Israel as it wages genocide against the Palestinian people of Gaza.

“We’re going to let Hollywood know that this is not acceptable and we’re not going to stand for this as Palestinians,” one protestor told Reuters.
