Netanyahu’s push to fire domestic security chief a sign of ‘increasingly authoritarian government’

"Israel’s Netanyahu is moving fast ahead, not only with the Gaza operation, but also to protect his political position," says FRANCE 24’s Jerusalem correspondent Noga Tarnopolsky. The Israeli PM’s expected move to fire the head of the Shin Bet, Israel’s security agency, "will leave Israeli protesters without anyone to turn to, and with no gatekeepers in place of an increasingly authoritarian government."
