Germany’s chancellor-in-waiting Friedrich Merz has promised a ‘new course’ on migration policy as he unveiled a coalition agreement between his conservatives and the center-left Social Democratic Party (SPD).
Merz vowed to repatriate more migrants, end irregular migration, and to suspend family reunification.
