On April 25, 2025, members of the New Zealand Defence Force performed a powerful Maori haka at a ceremony in Çanakkale, Türkiye, honouring the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) soldiers who fell in the Gallipoli Campaign 110 years ago.
The solemn tribute commemorates the 1915–1916 World War I battle, where tens of thousands, among them over 8,700 Australians, lost their lives.
