In October 2016, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint – with jewellery worth millions of dollars stolen during the audacious heist in Paris.

Her US lawyer Michael Rhodes said Kardashian has "tremendous appreciation and admiration for the French judicial system" in a statement issued before the trial.
