Dame Priti Patel says the UK government should be "leveraging everything" with Israel to support humanitarian aid getting into Gaza and helping bring an end to the latest military offensive.
The shadow foreign secretary’s remarks follow Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu’s furious response to the UK, France and Canada, after the three countries issued a joint statement demanding Israel change its course.
In the same interview, Dame Priti went on to accuse the government of being dishonest with the British public over the UK-EU deal. She also reaffirmed support for Ukraine after Donald Trump’s phone call to Russian president Vladimir Putin.
