Net migration fell by nearly 50% in the year to December 2024, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics.
The figure stands at 431,000, down 49.9% from 860,000 a year earlier.
The drop is the largest ever recorded for a 12-month period.
Long-term immigration to the UK also fell below a million for the first time in three years.
