During an official visit to a military base in the US state of North Carolina on June 10, Donald Trump defended his decision to unleash thousands of US military personnel on anti-ICE protesters in Los Angeles.
He referred to the protesters as “insurrectionists” who were paid to cause social upheaval, and he denigrated California Governor Gavin Newsom and LA Mayor Karen Bass, calling them “incompetent”.
