In Kenya, at least eight people have been killed in nationwide protests against police brutality and government corruption. Hundreds more were injured. Demonstrators were marking the first anniversary of violent clashes during anti-tax protests. At least 60 people were killed – many of them shot dead by security forces outside parliament.
