Israel’s defence minister Israel Katz has told reporters he has instructed the Israel Defense Forces to draw up a plan to establish a new “humanitarian city” in the southern Gaza Strip where Gazans would be relocated and forbidden from leaving. The highly controversial plan may be a way to satisfy “extremist” and right-wing elements with in the Israeli government, reports France 24’s Noga Tarnopolsky.
