The European Union says U.S threats to hike tariffs to 30 percent, if a trade deal can’t be reached by August 1st, are “unacceptable and unjustified”. Speaking at a meeting of business ministers in Brussels, the bloc’s trade chief said its 27 member states are committed to finding a negotiated solution but remain ready to react if that doesn’t happen. Donald Trump says any retaliatory measures will see tariffs pushed even higher. TRT World’s Victoria Innes has the latest.
