China and the European Union are set to hold high-level talks amid a global recalibration of trade in the wake of Donald Trump’s tariffs. The 25th EU-China summit starts in the Chinese capital on Thursday, and marks the 50th anniversary of bilateral relations between Brussels and Beijing. While trade is expected to be the major talking point, the event is also marked by some tensions.
