Communities around the world took to the streets on July 25 to demand an end to Israel’s forced starvation of Gaza, engineered by design to slowly and painfully wage genocide Palestinians in the besieged enclave.
More than one million children in Gaza are “bearing the brunt of deepening starvation and malnutrition,” according to a statement made by UN Secretary-General Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq on July 24.
He also noted that the rate of acute malnutrition among children in two central Gaza cities has risen to almost ten per cent — up from six per cent in June and around two per cent in February.
Approximately 115 Palestinians have died of starvation and malnutrition in Gaza already — a result of Israel’s brutal, months-long blockade on essential food and aid supplies, weaponising hunger in its campaign of genocide against the people of Gaza.
