In Italy, opposition MPs from the Five Star Movement (M5S) attended a parliamentary session dressed in the colors of the Palestinian flag; red, black, green, and white, declaring it a symbol of the global fight for humanity.
MP Riccardo Ricciardi said they refrained from bringing the flag itself, knowing it would be removed, and asked, “While almost the entire world recognizes the State of Palestine, why doesn’t Italy?”
