Türkiye has called an emergency meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to respond to Israel’s plan to occupy Gaza on August 9.
As chair of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, Turkish FM Hakan Fidan condemned the plan as a dangerous escalation of Israel’s expansionist and genocidal policies.
Fidan also shared that over 102,000 tonnes of aid have been sent to Gaza, expressing gratitude to Egypt for its vital cooperation in delivering assistance to those suffering in the besieged enclave.
