Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, thousands of Ukrainian children have been abducted by Russia. Kyiv estimates around 20,000 have been taken and only a fraction have returned home. Activists say Russia tries to hide their whereabouts. Families face a difficult search, with some taking drastic steps in hopes of rescuing their children.
