Latvian tennis star Jelena Ostapenko allegedly directed racist slurs at US player Taylor Townsend during a heated exchange in their second-round US Open match in New York on August 27.
Townsend defeated Ostapenko 7-5, 6-1 and will go on to face No.5 seed Mirra Andreeva in the third round.
