On Wednesday, China will celebrate the 80th anniversary of its pushback of Japanese occupation during World War Two. Among the heads of state expected to attend are Russia’s Vladimir Putin and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un. Japan has urged countries not to participate, citing disputes over historical interpretation and wartime memory. Brenda Czeda Radido reports.
