Watch live as MPs on the Treasury Committee take evidence from Bank of England governor Andrew Bailey on the Bank’s decision to cut its interest rate and its need to vote twice after the first ballot didn’t provide an outright majority.
It comes as the cost of government borrowing rose further this morning, setting a fresh 27-year high.
Rachel Reeves has also confirmed that the budget will take place on 26 November, saying in a video online: "Britain’s economy isn’t broken. But I know it’s not working well enough for working people."
