Gaza’s largest hospital, the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, has suffered extensive destruction during Israeli attacks, leaving entire departments in ruins. More than 40 critical medical devices, including ventilators and sterilisation units, have been destroyed, forcing engineers to salvage parts from the rubble to keep some machines running. Doctors describe the situation as catastrophic, with surgeries delayed or canceled and fuel shortages threatening power supplies. Staff are working tirelessly to restore basic services, but without urgent international aid, the hospital’s recovery is near impossible. TRT World’s Ashraf Shannon has the report.
