The Reform UK party conference is beginning in Birmingham, with leader Nigel Farage set to address attendees on Friday afternoon.
The party has been buoyed by another high-profile Conservative defection – this time it is former Tory minister Nadine Dorries.
Ms Dorries served as culture secretary and as a health minister under Boris Johnson.
However, writing in the Daily Mail, she described her former party as "dead".
