Two powerful aftershocks struck eastern Afghanistan 12 hours apart on Friday, sparking fears of more deaths and destruction. It follows Sunday’s earthquake, which has killed more than 2,200 people. Rescuers have now managed to reach some villages that had remained completely cut off. Martyn Andrews reports.
