ICC to hold first-ever trial in absentia for Ugandan warlord

The International Criminal Court has started a historic war crimes hearing against a notorious Ugandan warlord. Joseph Kony led a rebellion from the late 1980s into the early 2000s, which left an estimated 100,000 people dead. This also marks the ICC’s first-ever trial in absentia, with Kony now in hiding for more than 15 years. Rahul Radhakrishnan has the report.
