Peter Mandelson has been withdrawn as ambassador with immediate effect, following allegations about his relationship with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Stephen Doughty, the Foreign Office minister, has told the Commons that Mandelson’s tenure as UK ambassador to the UK has ended.
