The use of synthetic opioids like fentanyl is on the rise in Germany. Many experts believe that Europe could follow the same path as the US, a country struggling with a so-called fentanyl crisis. “SO-PAR”, a pilot project launched in May by several German NGOs, aims to create faster response times to potential overdoses – rapid fentanyl tests.
