Hundreds of anti-government protesters clashed with police in Peru’s capital, Lima, on September 21 as they attempted to march toward government buildings.
The protest, organised by a youth collective called “Generation Z,” is part of growing social unrest in Peru over organised crime, corruption in public office, and a recent pension reform that critics say could leave millions of Peruvians without retirement funds.
