The lobby of Hong Kong’s Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel was submerged following a water surge caused by Super Typhoon Ragasa.
The most powerful storm of the year so far made landfall in Hong Kong, causing flooding and hurricane winds as it heads into southern China. Chinese authorities have relocated more than 1 million people as China’s Guangdong province raised its typhoon emergency response to the highest level, with landfall expected along the central or western coast, according to state media.
