Reports state that Pentagon to submit employees to random lie detector tests | DW News

The Washington Post is reporting that the Pentagon could submit employees to random polygraph — or lie detector — testing in a bid to prevent leaks. It could also require thousands of staff to sign non-disclosure agreements.

Since taking office, US Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, has fired several senior Pentagon officials, accusing them of leaking to the media. The Washington Post says the new proposed measures are outlined in internal documents. The Pentagon’s chief spokesperson has called the Post’s report ‘untrue and irresponsible’.
