Nepalese police evacuated citizens after heavy downpours since October 3 triggered landslides and flash floods, killing at least 61 people.
The eastern Ilam district has been the hardest hit, with 37 people killed by landslides and many others injured, as rescue and relief efforts continue in the affected areas.
