In the US, hundreds of National Guard troops have gathered outside Chicago. This appears to be the latest move by President Donald Trump to militarise an American city. Democrats who govern Chicago and the State of Illinois have gone to court to stop that from happening, but Trump is already talking about using a rare legal move to bypass the courts entirely.
