Israel’s Cabinet early Friday approved President Donald Trump’s plan for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the release of all the remaining hostages held by Hamas, a key step toward ending a ruinous two-year war. "The statement put out by the Israeli government was extremely vague, I think intentionally vague," says our Jerusalem correspondent Noga Tarnopolsky. "Netanyahu seems to want to have a mantle of plausible deniability, and he made no mention of a ceasefire or an end to the war."
